With a laser show by the night, the Shard building was inaugurated yesterday in London, becoming in this way the tallest finished skyscraper in all Europe.
The building is 1,016 feet tall (309.6 meters) and has a pyramidal shape clad in glass in which there are 72 habitable floors in a total of 95.
The creation of the building was made by Renzo Piano, an italian architect. Its construction took 12 years and according to the schedule it will be opened to the public in February 2013.
