Research in Motion, the Canadian company that makes the BlackBerry, reported last Thursday a 43 percent year-on-year drop in sales during the previous quarter.
The company also announced that it will delay until 2013 its upcoming operating system, the BlackBerry 10, and that it will cut 5,000 of its jobs, that is almost a 30 percent of its workforce.
Today, one day after the earnings’ report, RIM's stock fell 14 percent.
