Facebook launched yesterday Facebook Camera, a mobile app similar to Instagram that will make it easier to take photos with a mobile device, modify them, and share them on Facebook.
Facebook Camera allows users to select multiple photos in a row by just touching their small previews in a table and then upload and post them all with one single action. The app also makes it easy tagging Facebook friends in a photo and adding information to it such as its location.
Before posting the images users can rotate them, cut them in one of its areas, or apply them filters, which are predefined processes by which the looks of the photos are changed. With filters users can, for example, post a photo in black and white.
Some analysts state that Facebook Camera is what the social network company had in mind when it acquired Instagram last April 9.
