To promote the iPhone 4S and its intelligent personal assistant, Siri, Apple launched two TV ads, one starring Zooey Deschanel and the other Samuel L. Jackson.

Siri, an acronym for Speech Interpretation and Recognition Interface, is an application labeled as an intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator. It was created to work in Apple's iOS, the company's mobile operating system.
This technology was acquired by Apple in April 2010.
