Many kids ask themselves what is the minimum age required for registration on Facebook. The answer to this question is in the company’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, that says:

The answer is clear. Facebook requires its users to be 13 years old in order to use the service. If you are under that age, Facebook will not allow you to provide your real age and birth date in your configuration. If you try to do it, a banner will appear saying:
“You are ineligible to register on Facebook.”
